Privacy Policy
Last updated: 16 October 2026
This page explains which personal data I collect through aerialevenepoel.com, why I do so and what rights you have. I've kept it short and simple on purpose.
1. Who is responsible?
Data controller:
Lukas Evenepoel (Aerial Evenepoel)
[street + number, 3320 Hoegaarden, Belgium]
Company number: [BE 0xxx.xxx.xxx]
Email: lukasevenepoel@gmail.com
2. What data do I collect?
Only what you enter in the contact form or send me by email:
- first name and (optionally) last name
- email address
- the service you're interested in
- the content of your message
3. What do I use it for, and on what legal basis?
- Answering your enquiry and preparing a quote or assignment. Basis: your consent (the checkbox on the form) and steps you request before entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(a) and (b) GDPR).
- Keeping my business records if an assignment follows. Basis: legal obligation and performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) and (c) GDPR).
I don't use your data for advertising or newsletters unless you ask for them separately, and I never sell it.
4. How long do I keep it?
Messages that don't lead to an assignment are kept for at most [12 months] and then deleted. Data needed for accounting and invoicing is kept for as long as the law requires (in Belgium usually 7 years).
5. Who do I share it with?
Only with service providers I need to run the website and my mailbox (processors):
- Netlify, Inc.: website hosting and receiving form submissions.
- Google (Gmail): receiving and storing email notifications and your emails.
These providers may process data outside the European Economic Area (including the US), under appropriate safeguards such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
6. Cookies, statistics and external services
- This website sets no cookies without your consent. On your first visit a notice asks whether you accept or reject marketing cookies. Rejecting has no effect on how you can use the website.
- If you accept, I load the Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.). It sets cookies (such as _fbp) and sends data about your visit to Meta, such as pages viewed, your IP address, browser and device information, and whether you submit the contact form. I use this to measure the results of my Facebook and Instagram ads and to show ads to people who visited my website. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
- You can change your choice at any time via “Cookie settings” at the bottom of the homepage. Meta may process data outside the EEA; see also Meta's privacy policy.
- Fonts are loaded from this website itself, not from Google.
- For visitor statistics I use [Netlify Analytics: counts visits from server logs, without cookies or profiling].
- The links to Instagram take you to an external site, where Instagram's (Meta's) privacy policy and cookies apply.
7. Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or erase your data, restrict processing, object, and receive your data in a portable format. If you gave consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Just email me at lukasevenepoel@gmail.com and I'll reply within one month.
8. Making a complaint
Not happy with how I handle your data? Please contact me first so we can sort it out. You can also lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority: dataprotectionauthority.be, Rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels, contact@apd-gba.be.
9. Changes
If I change how I work with data, I'll update this policy and the date at the top.
